Dr Shane Dunphy and Dr Sam McConville are both experienced Wellington GPs, with a strong interest in men’s health. Over the last 10 years they have performed several thousand vasectomies.
Our nurses are trained in all aspects of vasectomy, including preop consultations and assisting with the procedure.
The vasectomy is the safest, most reliable and most cost-effective method of contraception. At Wellington Vasectomy Clinic we specialise in performing vasectomies (sometimes referred to as the snip) under local anaesthetic using the modern no-scalpel technique.
A vasectomy is a simple and painless procedure with a very low complication rate and a quick recovery time and is an ideal choice for couples who are quite sure they don’t want any more children and need permanent reliable contraception.
